Once the game has launched, you will be able to use the GameCube controller.
This is the only place and game where the GameCube controller will function.
Connect the GameCube controller to the GameCube Controller Adapter. Gently insert the USB ports into the USB hubs on the Wii U console. Be aware, though, that this will cause the rumble feature not to function as it is powered by the grey plug. Please review our recommendations for USB hub usage before purchasing a hub.Īs a rule, both USB plugs should be inserted however, if you are short on ports, then only the black plug should be inserted. If you do not have enough USB ports available to attach the GameCube Controller Adapter, you will need to either disconnect another accessory, or you will need to use a USB hub. It is best if the two USB ports are next to each other however, if they are not, you can gently pull apart the two USB cords in order to lengthen the distance that the cords can reach. 
Important: In order to connect the GameCube Controller Adapter to the Wii U, you will need two free USB ports.
